The Nightingale Rose Gardens in Bhatinda is a beautiful place to get immersed in the beauty of Mother Nature. It was inaugurated on 6th may 1979 by the then Chief Minister of Punjab S. Prakash Singh Badal. The garden is located near the thermal plant and is open to all from morning to late evening. The entry is absolutely free. If you are put up in any of the hotels near the city center, then the rose garden will be in close proximity.  There is ample parking space for all and is easily accessible from all parts of the city.

Nature's Bounty in Bathinda Rose Garden

The Bathinda Rose Garden spread over 10 acres of land is a great recreational spot in the city. Both locals and tourists visit this park throughout the year. The rose garden has several varieties of rose flowers and serene environment. It is a good place to spend couple of hours peacefully especially during the evenings. The place is quite, clean and cured. One can enjoy a peaceful morning or evening stroll amidst fresh air and the beautiful roses that smell fantastic and instantly fell relaxed. The senses feel rejuvenated and calm down after spending some quality time in the garden.  The garden also has some cafes and restrooms where you can relieve yourself and get something to eat and drink.

Some of the unique varieties of roses found in this garden are Papa Geno, a hybrid blend of red and white roses. Konefetti, a multi-colored yellow rose with petals shaped like a star. Sheer bliss, a hybrid tea rose otherwise also known as a wedding rose. June Bride, a delicate rose that blooms in shades of pink and white. Apart from these special varieties, people can see the blooms of other popular varieties like rose criterion, rose pobet, rose emperetor, rose paper moon, rose lady luck among others.
Even if you are in the city for a short trip and do not have time to visit all the tourist places, make sure you visit the rose garden. The experience will definitely be an unforgettable one.

The rose garden in Bathinda is a great place to spend some family time. The park has some rides where children can have fun while the adults unwind themselves. One can also plan a nice picnic with family and friends. There are also some musical fountains in the garden that draw the attention of both children and adults. One can also see the statue of Swami Vivekanada at the entrance of the garden.

Best time to visit

The garden will be in full bloom in the winter months from October through March. One can see huge varieties of roses that bloom in different colors. One can also see some roses that are multi colored.
